Sex Drive Premium Energy Drink tastes a lot like your typical energy drink, complete with a guarana like flavor and sugary dose of high fructose corn syrup. The drink hangs its hat on the addition of L-Arginine, a non essential amino acid, and Horny Goat Weed, an herbal ingredient whose name comes from Chinese legend. Otherwise, there’s a bevy of herbal ingredients and B vitamins powering the drink, but they don’t help make the drink’s less than subtle intended function (”enhances blood flow to vital organs”) seem credible. Packaging is the standard 8 oz can, which they’ve painted black to contrast with the red and white colors of the sex drive logo. It’s an easy to read design that makes it very obvious what the drink’s niche and purpose are. However, limiting the drink to being just a “sex drink” isn’t going to cut it. Otherwise, the lack of credible function and consumer demand for these types of drinks make it a novelty player at best. Perhaps they should stick to selling this on Duvall Street for now.
